Complete guide to using the CAD Academy Learning Management System
Teacher and Student guides are open to everyone. Admin documentation is visible only to administrators.
Student Overview
As a student, you can browse and join classes, submit assignments, view feedback, and track your progress.

Monitor your scores
1. Joining Classes
Browse Available Classes
Go to Browse Classes from the dashboard to see all available classes.
- Search by class name, code, or description
- Filter by enrollment status
- View class details before joining
View Class Details
Click "View Details" on any class card to see:
- Class description and requirements
- Teacher information
- Schedule and dates
- Enrollment status
Join a Class
Click "Join Class" button:
- Confirm your request to join
- Your request will be sent to the teacher
- You'll receive a notification when approved
- Status will show as "Pending Approval" until approved
2. Submitting Assignments
Access Assignment
From your class dashboard, click on an assignment to open it. You'll see:
- Assignment details and requirements
- Due date and max attempts
- Submission history
Upload Your Work
Click the upload area to select your CAD screenshot:
- Supported formats: Image files (JPG, PNG, etc.)
- Maximum file size: 10MB
- Click "Upload File" after selecting
- Wait for upload confirmation
Submit Assignment
After uploading, click "Submit Assignment":
- Confirm your submission
- You can submit up to the maximum number of attempts
- Each submission creates a new attempt
- Status will show as "Pending" until graded
3. Viewing Feedback
Check Submission Status
In the assignment view, you can see your submission status: Pending (being reviewed), Graded (feedback available), or Not Submitted.
View Annotations
When your assignment is graded, you'll see:
- Numbered markers on your CAD screenshot
- Hover over markers to see teacher's comments
- Each annotation includes title and description
- Annotations are color-coded (Error, Warning, Info)
View Your Score
Check your score and feedback details:
- Overall score percentage
- Breakdown by criteria (if available)
- Teacher's overall feedback
- Improvement guidelines
AI Feedback Assistant
Use the AI Feedback Assistant chat to ask questions about your feedback and get help understanding how to improve.
4. Tracking Your Progress
View Submission History
See all your attempts for each assignment, including submission dates and status.
Monitor Your Scores
Track your performance across all assignments and see your average score.
View Class Dashboard
Access your class dashboard to see all assignments, due dates, and your completion status.
5. Additional Features
Notifications
Check the notifications icon in the header for updates about enrollment approvals, assignment grades, and class announcements.
Profile Management
Click on your profile in the header to view and edit your personal information.
